Drivers can choose from a handful of powertrains. Drivers can also choose the Grecale Trofeo trim with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 523 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. The top model has a zero-to-60 speed of 3.6 seconds. It also tops out at 177 miles per hour.

All trims and engines have an eight-speed automatic transmission with standard all-wheel drive. The Grecale has decent fuel economy for turbocharged luxury compact SUVs. The four-cylinder engine has an EPA-estimated fuel rating of 22/29 MPG. The V6 has an EPA-estimated fuel rating of 18/25 MPG.

Soon, Maserati will release the Maserati Grecale Folgore with a battery-electric system that is expected to create impressive horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.

Comfort and Technology Features

Maserati includes only digital technology in the Grecale with a 12.3-inch instrument panel and infotainment screen. The Grecale also has an 8.8-inch comfort display that shares information about climate control. Drivers can add a head-up display. Maserati removed most of the switches and buttons from their former analog designs. Even the shifting tools have become modernized with buttons between the central screens and paddle shifters. Maserati moved the start button and drive modes selector to the lower part of the flat-bottomed steering wheel.

The Google-based infotainment system has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Amazon Alexa voice commands, and Google Assistant. Drivers can upgrade the sound system to a 21-speaker Sonus Faber stereo.

The standard safety features in the Grecale GT entry-level trim include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Intersection Collision Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Rear Automatic Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Drivers can add a Surround-View Camera.
